COVID-19/Corona Virus Update

In accordance with the guidance of our state and local public health officials regarding the COVID-19 situation, the Escondido History Center Office and Research Center at Grape Day Park is open according to the following guidelines:

  • Do not enter the building if you have a cough or fever

  • Visitors over the age of two years will need to wear a facial covering at all times while inside

  • Please maintain a minimum six-foot distance from others outside your family or household group

  • Do not shake hands or engage in any unnecessary physical contact with anyone outside your family or household group

  • Research will be provided by staff as time and resources allow.

  • No food or drink permitted inside

  • Occupancy is limited to no more than 6 at any one time


The Bandy Blacksmith Shop is running on a limited basis.  Our target date to resume classes is in January 2021.  If you wish to sign up for a class waiting list, call 760-743-8207.  The other buildings in the complex remain closed; return to our site for opening updates.
