Saturdays in the Park
2pm-4pm every Saturday
Grape Day Park is the place to be every Saturday in 2010. Each week of the month has a different theme:
1st Saturday = Family Fun
2nd Saturday = Art
3rd Saturday = Music
4th Saturday = Performances 
Green Scene

American Heritage Car Show
May 29, 2010     9am-3pm 
The American Heritage Car Show features hundreds of fabulous cars on the lawn in Grape Day Park. Show includes a pancake breakfast, vendors, DJ, raffle and museum tours. Spectators free, vehicle entry fee.
Echoes from the Past
October 3, 2010  1pm-4pm
Meet some of the "residents" of Oak Hill Memorial Park at this living history event. Arrive anytime between 1pm and 3:30pm. Ticketed event.

Escondido's most historic event includes a short downtown parade and a free festival in the park with grape stomping, entertainment stage, vendor booths, fun zone, free grapes and more!

Independence Day Celebration
July 4     3pm - 9:30pm 
Escondido celebrates in Grape Day Park with old fashioned games, museum tours and an entertainment stage, before fireworks light up the night at 9:00.
 
Melrose Ranch, A Day to Remember
May 1, 2010
Don't miss this opportunity to explore the Melrose Ranch! This is an event for the whole family. The 115 acre ranch has a long and rich history including ties to the movie industry and English royalty! Adults will enjoy the extensive gardens, and gorgeous grounds, kids  will enjoy games and contests while hayrides and demonstrations appeal to all ages. More information coming soon!

Christmas by Lamplight
December 3, 2010 6pm-8pm
A new script and cast of characters every year doesn't change the fact that this is a fun living history event that will get you in the holiday spirit. Arrive anytime between 6pm and 8pm for a trip back in time to see a Victorian Christmas. Ticketed event.

Gold Mining Tour
March 27, 2010
Historian Frank Lorey, author of The Goldmining Days of Escondido and San Diego County, will lead this information packed day of exploration of local mining history. Reserve your seat today on the bus that will take you to Julian to tour the Eagle Mining Company, while Frank lectures along the way. After the tour, you'll have time to eat lunch on your own and explore downtown Julian before returning to Escondido and the site of one of our gold mines. Call or email today to reserve your seat.
